An exciting adventure awaits kids in the beautiful waters of Kona. It's an opportunity for kids to learn about the fascinating local marine environment, become more comfortable in the water, make new friends and learn new skills. Our Junior Dive Club is an opportunity for them to join other kids their age for some great educational activities in the water.

Jack's Diving Locker's five day programs tailored for kids result in certification as a PADI O/W SCUBA Diver or a PADI Skin Diver. These classes are safe, fun and easy! Contact us to find out when our next classes are scheduled.

PADI Open Water Course for Kids

PADI Advanced Open Water Course for Kids

The PADI Skin Diver (Age 8 & up) program includes daily excursions to local beaches in the Kona area to learn about marine life, free diving and snorkeling skills, beginner lifesaving skills, and oceanography. A certification card, text book, equipment rental and a boat trip with maximum in-water time and attention are all included. Beginners and those ready for more advanced free diving experience are accommodated. Classes run all summer long.

The PADI O/W Diver (Age 10 & up) program also includes daily dives with a competent, caring and professional Instructor who will teach them to plan their own SCUBA dives, identify marine life, safe buddy procedures, physiology of diving, equipment use and care… everything an adult class would contain but at a slower pace for optimum understanding. A manual, log book, two videos, 4 boat dives with lunch are all included. Upon completion of this thrilling experience kids will receive a diving certification card that lasts a lifetime. Classes run all summer long.

Jack's also offers a PADI Kid's Advanced Class, with hands-on diving experience featuring a Deep Dive, Navigation Dive, Skill Improvement Dive, Boat/Photo Dive, Naturalist Dive and Night Dive (perhaps visiting with Manta Rays as well).
