INTRODUCTORY DIVES
You've
always wanted to try it! Don't wait another day.
Whether you're vacationing on the island for a week or arriving on a cruise ship for the day Jack's Diving Locker can introduce you to the wonderful world of Scuba. Kona's warm waters are an excellent place to experience the excitement
of scuba diving.
Our experienced instructors will teach you the basics of breathing
underwater. After practicing in shallow water, your instructor
will lead you on a shallow dive to one of Kona's exciting reefs.
See beautiful tropical fish, corals and other interesting creatures.
We
offer these dives from the shore or the boat. Shore dives
are great for first timers, people with less time available or
people who aren't as comfortable in the water. Boat dives
are better for repeats and people who are more comfortable in
the water. Not sure that the water is even a place for you? Then
try out scuba in the warm, calm, safe confines of our swimming
pool. It can be as short as an hour to find out.
As
Dave Barry says: "When you finally see what goes on underwater,
you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean--it's
like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent."

Medical Questionnaire:**
Scuba diving is an exciting and demanding activity. To Scuba dive
safely, you must not be extremely overweight or out of condition.
Diving can be strenuous under certain conditions. Your respiratory
and circulatory systems must be in good health. All body air spaces
must be normal and healthy. A person with heart trouble, a current
cold or congestion, epilepsy, asthma, a severe medical problem,
or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, should not dive.
If taking medication, consult your doctor before participating
in this program.
The purpose if this Medical Questionnaire is to find out if you
should be examined by a physician before participating in recreational
scuba diving. A positive response to a question does not necessarily
disqualify from diving. A positive response means that there is
a preexisting condition that may affect your safety while diving
and you must seek the advice of a physician.
Please answer the following questions on your past and present
medical history with a YES or NO. If you are not sure, answer YES.
If any of these items apply to you, we must request that you consult
with a physician prior to participating in scuba diving. Your instructor
will supply you with a PADI Medical Statement and Guidelines for
Recreational Scuba Diver's Physical Examination to take to a physician.
