The Divemaster course at Jack’s Diving Locker is the training program you need to transform your life! The PADI Divemaster course is the first step in your new career as a diving
professional. Divemasters supervise a variety of dive activities such as guiding certified divers on underwater tours and assisting instructors with student divers. The Divemaster course at Jack's Diving Locker involves a combination of knowledge development, diving skills, and stamina testing along with an extensive internship program in real courses with real
students in real diving situations. Students benefit from the teachings of seasoned PADI Instructors who have years of experience and practical knowledge. The course also includes guiding snorkelers on Kona’s famous Manta Ray Night Dive along with the JDL exclusive Boat Charter Skills training program and 3 days of additional boat dives. Divemaster
Becoming a PADI Divemaster has never been more convenient! Click on the banner above to sign-up for an online eLearning class designed to take you through the knowledge development portion of the PADI Divemaster certification course.

COST FOR COURSE:
• $800 plus tax
• $1200 plus tax for private
• Divemaster Crew Pak $298.95 (w/disc.)
• Dive Theory on-line (optional) $110.

FEES PAID TO PADI:
• PADI Divemaster eLearning Course $205
• Divemaster Application Fee $89.50

WE PROVIDE:
• Instruction, tanks, weights

STUDENTS TO PROVIDE:
• Divemaster Crew Pak
• Full list of materials on the next page
• Equipment Checklist on the next page

PREREQUISITES:
• 18 years old
• Medical Statement signed within the past year
• 40 logged dives as entry requirement (60 logged dives for certification)
• Open Water, Advanced, and Rescue certifications (or equivalent)
• Current EFR certification (or equivalent)
• DAN Insurance


DATES:
• November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 2011
• February 27, 28, 29, & March 1, 2, 2012
• June 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 2012
• Custom schedules available upon request

DURATION:
• 5 days of course work
• Internship schedule varies based on course
   availability and candidate schedule, usually 10-12 days
   scheduled over 3 – 4 weeks.

• 72 hour cancellation policy. Any cancellations less than
  72 hours prior to the start of the course will result in a
  full charge.

DAY 1 - Class and Pool (8am - 4pm)
– Role of the Divemaster
– Mapping Project & Emergency Assistance Plan
– 24 Dive Skills Workshop & Evaluation
– Scuba Review in Confined Water
– Basic Knot tying (bowline, half hitch, sheet bend)

DAY 2 - Class and Pool (8am - 4pm)
– Divemaster Exams
– Diver Rescue Evaluation
– Skin Diver Course and Snorkeling Supervision - Pool
– Discover Scuba Diving in Confined Water
– 15 Min. Tread
– Equipment Exchange

DAY 3 - Shore (8am - 4pm)
– Dive Briefing
– Dive Site Set Up and Management - Shore
– Search & Recovery Scenario
– 800 yd. Mask, Snorkel & Fin Swim
– 400 yd. Swim

DAY 4 - Shore (8am - 4pm)
– Dive Briefing
– Discover Scuba Diving – Additional OW Dive
– Discover Local Diving in Open Water
– 100 yd. Tired Diver Tow

DAY 5 - Boat (8am - 4pm)
– Deep Dive Scenario
– Dive Site Set Up and Management – Boat
– Skin Diver Course and Snorkeling Supervision - Boat

DIVEMASTER INTERNSHIP:
– Included in this e-Learning DM course
– 10-12 days (over 3-4 weeks)
– Variable schedule that includes: Introductory Dives,
   Open Water Course, Advanced Diving courses,
   guiding Certified Divers, guiding Snorkelers on
   Manta Ray Night Dive, Boat Skills training, and
   more.
