So,
now you're a diver. Maybe you've just completed your first introductory
dive with the Discover Scuba Diving program... maybe you've already
completed your PADI "Scuba Diver" certification... Either way, you've
started your adventures in diving. Upgrading your certification
opens new doors to other exciting diving activities. Dive at night
with Kona's famous Mantas, explore a sunken ship, or dive to deeper
reefs. To do all of these things you must continue your scuba training.
The PADI "Scuba Diver" certification is
good for a lifetime of shallow water scuba experiences (to 40'),
as long as you are accompanied by a PADI professional.
The
"Open Water Diver" certification is a full
certification which allows you to dive deeper. It also teaches you
to plan conduct your own dives, without the supervision of PADI
professionals. Explore a new reef at a secret beach with your family
or friends. This course is also a prerequisite to participating
in the exciting worlds of night & wreck diving, as well as many
other fascinating adventures.
