September 1, 2009 Kailua-Kona, HI - Jack's Diving Locker campers cleaned up the shoreline this past summer every chance they got! Whether they were at Kahalu'u Beach Park or the shoreline at Ōneo Bay (next to Huggo’s), kids were picking up trash and helping the environment.
“It’s important to take care of the things that you love,” states Wendy Laros, Director of Jack’s Diving Locker Junior Program.
“We like to instill a sense of stewardship in the programs we do because it’s important for the kids, our island, and the ocean.”

| Jack’s Diving Locker’s signature program, Sea Camp Hawaii, promotes ocean ecology and environmental awareness. The Sea Camp Hawaii program (ages 8-16) includes an in-depth marine life study, snorkeling and scuba diving experiences and daily beach excursions. The program is so popular that the initial camp was expanded into six different weeks – Coral Reef Ecology, Dolphins & Whales, Octopus & Invertebrates, Reef Fish & Eels, Sea Turtles, and Sharks & Rays. |

Master Seal Team Scuba Camp – Environmental Mission

Jack’s Diving Locker also teaches the PADI Seal Team and Master Seal Team program. In these camps, students (ages 8-14) learn basic scuba skills and more advanced skills in navigation, search and recovery, and night diving in a series of pool dives called Aqua Missions. During the Environmental mission, students walked across the street from Jack’s Diving Locker and cleaned up the shoreline at Ōneo Bay to apply what they were learning in the “real world.”
PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, is the world’s largest certification agency. Jack’s Diving Locker camps use the PADI system of education and are taught by PADI professionals.
Jack’s Diving Locker is located in the Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Visit their website for more information about camps at www.jacksdivinglocker.com.
