Bio: Erika grew up in Portland, Oregon, where she spent much of her time sailing, biking, hiking, and camping. Nowadays you can find her here in Hawaii enjoying the sun and ocean. Erika moved to the Big Island after meeting and falling in love with her boyfriend, Kawika.

Since June 2008, she has been lucky enough to be able to work with him as well. Fascinated with the underwater world, she has plunged, head first, into her diving profession. She has flown through the certification ranks and is now a PADI Instructor. Wasting no time at all, she moved right into her captain’s course which she completed in march. She is now a USCG Captain.

Her greatest aspiration is to travel the world. In the future she hopes to be involved with dive travel and experience the beauty and wonder of places around the globe. In the mean time, she will jump at every opportunity to travel and enjoy the magnificence of home.

Favorite Dive Site:Constantly changing, but at the moment my favs are The Wreck of the Naked Lady, Green Can, and Pyramid Pinnacles
